Wrafton Laboratories

Wrafton Laboratories is a Contract Manufacturer of over-the-counter and prescription medicines for Branded Pharmaceutical and Own Label Customers. A wide range of product formats are manufactured, including tablets, powders, liquids and creams. The Company was formed in May 1992 following a Management Buyout of the Wrafton factory and equipment from Whitehall Laboratories Limited, a subsidiary of American Home Products. In September 1999 following an offer valuing the Company at £21.6 million, 80% of the equity of Wrafton Laboratories was sold to McBride plc. McBride plc is a UK based company, which is the largest manufacturer of private label Household and Personal Care products in Europe. Its principal customers comprise the top 20 major European Grocery Retailers.
