From 1962 to 1971, Mr.Ogle and the company licensed various products to major manufacturers of drugs and healthcare products. In an effort to increase market exposure, IMS also began to provide technical assistance to two of its licensees - Bristol Myers Company and Abbott Laboratories Inc. After 1972, IMS Limited's patented, prefilled unit-dose disposable syringes were manufactured and marketed under its own MIN-I-JETŪ trademark. Over the years, IMS has continuously expanded the types of delivery systems and increased the variety of medications and dosages in its product line. On August 19, 1998, Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a California based international pharmaceutical company acquired IMS. In the past three years Amphastar has experienced tremendous growth in research and development. The transaction was completed on October 8, 1998.
