SKW is one of the leading manufacturing companies of biotech grade guanidine salts like ultra pure guanidine hydrochloride and guanidine thiocyanate. We also produce PMSF (irreversible inhibitor of serine proteases) and L-(w)-nitroarginine (nitroarginine is a building block and used as Na-BOC-derivative, in harmaceutical / clinical chemistry it is an intermediate for drug synthesis. In biochemistry, nitroarginine is applied as reversible inhibitor of NO-synthase). Other projects include the development of photo-metastable protection groups for nucleosides and nucleotides.
