PHASE-1 is a molecular and high throughput toxicology contract laboratory. We specialize in development and application of advanced assays for prioritization of lead compounds and understanding mechanisms of toxicity. For example, PHASE-1 is the only contract testing organization that can synthesize and analyze its own high density gene arrays in-house. Our arrays are designed specifically for toxicology. In addition, PHASE-1 is a pioneer in the field of bioinformatics applied to molecular toxicology. The primary goal of the scientists at PHASE-1 is to advance the field of molecular toxicology and to share these advances with the drug discovery and toxicology communities. Bioinformatics is a rapidly emerging field in which there has been an explosion of information. PHASE-1 has compiled a vast amount of molecular (as well as more traditional) toxicological data and placed it in a relational format such that correlations between novel and traditional toxicological endpoints can be examined. We also have powerful software for gene expression analysis.
