Imperial Cancer Research Technology Ltd (ICRT) is the commercial technology development arm of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (Imperial Cancer). Imperial Cancer is one of the UK's largest medical charities. ICRT aims to contribute to the realisation of Imperial Cancer's aim of preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer by facilitating the transfer of Imperial Cancer's technology to industry. Industrial collaborations are structured to maximise the chances of successful diagnostic or therapeutic product development and to ensure that Imperial Cancer receives an appropriate share of any financial rewards which may result. ICRT has major collaborations with Zeneca Diagnostics in the field of DNA diagnostics and with Genzyme in the field of gene therapy. Other activities include the licensing of an extensive portfolio of research products, particularly hybridoma lines, and the licensing of various items of patented technology developed at Imperial Cancer
