BioVisioN is an independent research and development company with a particular vision. We are looking for new ways to diagnose and treat serious illnesses, thus actively participating in the world-wide advancement in medicine and biotechnology. Using newly developed technology will lead to an improvement in the diagnosis and therapy of a large number of diseases. Our goal is to discover new diagnostic markers or biomarkers and therapeutically relevant peptides (small proteins). This field, which we call peptidomics, offers a huge potential for the discovery of new product candidates, which are then developed to pharmaceutical products, both internally and with partners. Priority lies in the detection of peptides from biological sources. Of special significance is the identification of previously unknown, disease-associated peptides from human blood plasma and other body fluids. Our technology is available to others through a combination of co-operative research and the licensing of results.
